Obituary for Carrol Lee Daniel
Lindsay: Carrol Lee Daniel, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020 in Lindsay, at the age of 89.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan, with family officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Carrol was born Thursday, January 15, 1931 in Wilson, to Arie Noble and Eva Jo (Rambo) Daniel. He lived most of his life in the Stephens County area after graduating from Wilson High School. Carrol married Betty Cummings on May 3, 1952 in Gainesville, Texas; they were married for 59 wonderful years before Betty's passing on October 9, 2011. Carrol served in the United States Army before returning home to work as a gas tester for Union Texas Petroleum for more than 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and going to coin shops as well as collecting coins. He liked tinkering. Carrol especially loved caring for his wife that he dearly loved and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Midkiff, Texas.
Survivors include, 2 sons, Joe Michael Daniel and wife Donnell of Midland, TX, Anthony Lee Daniel and wife Sue of Foster, 6 grandchildren, Davy Daniel, Marnie Jo Wortham, Anmy Elizabeth Daniel, Matthew Lee Daniel, Joshua Wade Daniel, and Rebecca Henson, 10 great-grandchildren, Seth Daniel, Morgan Daniel, McKinna Wortham, Madison Wortham, Sicily Daniel, London Daniel, Kye Daniel, Breck Daniel, Felix Daniel, and Caden Henson, and 5 great-great-grandchildren, Haigen Daniel, Raegan Daniel, Jax Daniel Lilly Villa, and Noah Villa. He was also survived by a brother, Dee Cee Daniel of Lindsey, TX, a sister, Betty Spence of McKinny, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife, Carrol was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Pee Wee Daniel, and a sister, Jo Eva Martin.
In lei of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Carrol's Honor.
