Obituary for Alton Flemon Crabb

Rush Springs: Alton Flemon Crabb, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 in Rush Springs, at the age of 90.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, February 25, 2019, at the Cox City Baptist Church, Rev. Finis Lee and Rev. Bill Love officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Crabb Family Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Stephens County Honor Guard. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Alton was born Tuesday, February 5, 1929 in Duncan, OK, to William Flemon and Jessie Pearl (Watkins) Crabb. He lived in the Rush Springs area all of his life and worked as a welder for many years for Cline Industries. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Alton married his lovely wife, Betty Carnes in Lawton on September 15, 1955. They enjoyed 63 wonderful years before his passing. Alton loved to read Louis L'Amore books. He enjoyed playing Wahoo everyday and loved to go camping in Colorado.

Survivors include, his wife, Betty Crabb of the home, a son, Larry Alton Crabb and wife Gennifer of Rush Springs, 2 daughters, Joyce Nell Balzhiser and husband John of Oklahoma City, Deborah Lynn Williams and husband Bill of Rush Springs. He was also survived by 17 Grandchildren, a host of great and great-great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Alton was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, his parents, 3 brothers, Bobby Crabb, Leonard Dale Crabb, Billy Wayne Crabb, and 2 sister-in-laws.


Pallbearers will be: Chris Fox, Craig Crabb, Larry Joe Crabb, Troy Weese, Coy Weese, and Jason Malicoat.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Doug Dakil, T.J. Ledford, Mike Shilen, Kory Krawtzow, Kody Krawtzow, Chris Barnes, Mathew Barnes, and Kevin Barnes,
