Obituary for Barbara Grace Palmer (McReynolds)

Marlow: Barbara Grace Palmer, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 in Marlow, at the age of 90.

Funeral Services will be held at Friday, October 18, 2019, at 10:00 AM, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Chaplain Glenn McGee officiating. A family and friend visitation is scheduled for Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Barbara was born Monday, December 3, 1928 in Patricia, TX, to Robert and Mantie (Merritt) McReynolds. She graduated from Seminole High School in Seminole, TX and moved to the Marlow/Duncan area more than 12 years ago. Barbara married Eugene Brown in Seminole, TX on June 7, 1947; he later preceded her in death. Barbara married Jake Palmer in Midland, TX on December 5, 1984; they were married for 13 years before his passing on August 17, 1997. Barbara worked as a waitress for more than 13 years for Denny's. She was a great cook that loved to bake anything. Barbara enjoyed bowling and doing puzzle books. She loved playing games, the piano, and singing songs with her family. Barbara loved her family dearly and was a very generous person to everyone. She was a prayer warrior and a waitress to all. Barbara was a member of the Assembly of God in Midland, TX.

Survivors include, a son, Randall Eugene Brown and wife Esther of Dayton, NV, 3 daughters, Vicki Fugate and husband Andrew of Del Rio, TX, Deborah Sobczak and husband John of San Diego, CA, Rebecca Jenkins and husband Kenny of Elgin, 2 grandchildren, Pamela Glover of Del Rio, TX, James Keys of Duncan, a great-grandson, Aydin Keys of Ninnekah. She was also survived by a brother, Charles McReynolds of Garland, TX, 3 sisters, Virginia Sledge and husband Charles of Kingwood, TX, Juanell Robinson of Waxachie, TX, Juanda Allen and husband Marion of Gilbert, AZ, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Along with both of her husbands, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Jack McReynolds.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Chisholm Trail Hospice in Duncan in Barbara's Honor.
