Obituary for Betty Coffman (Sharp)

Rush Springs: Betty Coffman, 85, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 in Edmond.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, with Jamie Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs on Tuesday, December 20, 4:00-8:30 PM, and Wednesday, December 21, 8:30 AM-12:30 PM.

Betty was born Wednesday, July 7, 1937 in Newhope, AR, to Roy Benjamin and Georgie Elizabeth (Flemens) Sharp. She attended Newhope and Rush Springs schools. Betty lived most of her life in Rush Springs and spent her time as a homemaker. She married the love of her life, Toy Cloyce Coffman, April 7, 1957 in Shawnee. Betty and Toy celebrated more than 60 years of marriage until he preceded her in death on June 15, 2016. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, fishing, and cooking. Betty loved her family the most, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them and make memories together. She was deeply loved by many and will forever be missed.

Survivors include her son, Robert Coffman and wife Francene of Rush Springs; daughter, Suzy Lausen of Edmond; 3 grandchildren, Lebeth and husband B.A., Beene, Ben Coffman and wife Sara, and Jamey Lausen; 5 great-grandchildren, Myla Coffman, Kaitlyn Beene, Payton Beene, Brecken Coffman, and Hadley Beene; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Charles Sharp.

Pallbearers will be Lynn Caveny, Larry Caveny, Nolan Caveny, Waylon Smith, Mike Townsend, and Lonnie Hayes.
