Rush Springs: Bobby Gerald Woody, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 in Duncan, at the age of 82.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the Rush Springs Cemetery, with Rev. David Hale officiating with Military Honors conducted by Stephens County Honor Guard. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Bobby was born Thursday, December 31, 1936 in Rush Springs, to James W. and Minnie (Saul) Woody. He attended Rush Springs High School and lived in the Rush Springs area all of his life. Bobby married the love of his life Virginia McClure in Chickasha on June 22, 1962, they had 56 wonderful years before his passing. Bobby served in the United States Army and was retired carpenter. He was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as golfing. He loved his Sunday dinners. Bobby's most treasured time was spent with his family. He was a member of the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include, his wife, Virginia Woody of the home, 2 sons, Kevin Woody and wife Tersea of Newcastle, Bobby Woody of Rush Springs, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Woody, Matthew Woody, Kevin Mitchell Woody, 7 great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Woody, Tyson Woody, Deazil Woody, Blakelyn Woody, Jaxxon Harrison, Julian Woody, Rylea Horton. He is also survived by a sister, Peggy Harrelson of Boswell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.
Pallbearers will be: Kevin Woody, Bobby Woody, Matt Woody, and Mitch Woody.
