Bryson was born on March 25, 2008 in Duncan to Steven and Donna (Wilson) Herndon. Bryson lived in this area his entire life and was a student at Marlow Middle School.
Bryson was a "cowboy" ever since he was a little guy. He had a large collection of old western movies and enjoyed watching them. His favorite place to go was the Chisholm Trail Museum in Duncan and loved to hear about the cattle drive. He enjoyed working cattle and riding horses whenever he could. Bryson was a fisherman and spent many hours fishing and wanted to be a professional fisherman. He thought that would have been a great job! Bryson also enjoyed hunting. He got his first deer and wild hog last year. Bryson was an avid explorer. He loved to just walk around and see what he could find. Bryson enjoyed swimming and spent many hours in the pool during the summer break. He developed a love of doing back flips and front flips either into the water or on the trampoline. Bryson played football this past season. He enjoyed football, but mainly played because he wanted to hang out with his friends who were on the team. Bryson loved being outside. He would spend hours in the backyard throwing his lasso at his roping dummy, playing with his dog Sassy, jumping on the trampoline, playing baseball, and shooting hoops. Bryson loved sunsets and thought some of the best were at his own house. He enjoyed taking pictures of the sunsets and using those as his screensaver on his phone. Bryson was a great brother to Jarrod and Grayson. He and Jarrod would fish, hunt, watch movies, or play video games together. Bryson played with Grayson all the time. They would jump on the trampoline, watch movies, fish, play baseball, tag, and video games. Bryson liked being at home. He really didn’t want to go anywhere and always said he had all he wanted at home. Bryson's infectious smile and fun-loving adventurous spirit will be dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his parents, Steven and Donna Herndon; two brothers: Jarrod and Grayson Herndon, all of the home; grandparents: David and Kay Herndon of Marlow, Darrel and Nita Dees of Duncan, Gary and Darla Wilson of Verden, Jackie Terry of Verden; his aunt and uncles: Jamie and Daniel Holt of Dallas, Darrel Dees of Fletcher; cousins: Owen Holt, Emma Holt, and Ian Holt all of Dallas, Darrell Dees, Jr. of Fletcher.
