Obituary for Buddy Hudson
Rush Springs: Harry David "Buddy" Hudson, 75, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2023 in Rush Springs.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Southern Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Phipps officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Rush Springs.
Buddy was born Saturday, March 29, 1947 in Wynnewood, to Fred and Mollie (Williams) Hudson. He was a graduate of Rush Springs High School and attended Murray State College. Buddy lived in the Grady County area his entire life. He worked for the United States Postal Service for 31 years. He also was a proud member of the United States Air Force serving a year in Vietnam. Buddy married the love of his life, Geneva Farmer, July 23, 1966 in Chickasha. He and Geneva celebrated more than 56 wonderful years of marriage together at the time of his passing. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and playing dominos. He loved his family most and cherished any time spent with them. Buddy will be deeply missed by all.
Buddy leaves behind his wife, Geneva of the home, son, Shane Hudson and wife Rachel, daughter, Kimberly Zalewski and husband Brian, 3 grandchildren, Lauren Sims and husband Cody, Derek Hudson, and Jessica Light and husband Login, numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law, and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Brian Hudson, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
