Obituary for Carol Sue McCarley
Rush Springs: Carol Sue McCarley, 71, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 in Oklahoma City.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, April 5, 2021, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Chapel, with Father Mike Wheelahan officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Carol was born Sunday, June 12, 1949 in San Antonio, TX, to William and Virginia June (Fields) Reed. She spent most of her life living in Rush Springs, and she worked as a county voting inspector. Carol married Jerry McCarley on April 29, 1977, and they celebrated over 43 wonderful years of marriage. She enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles, gardening, and making Christmas ornaments. Most of all, Carol loved her family, and loved spending time with them. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her husband of the home, 4 sons, J.D. McCarley Jr. and wife Liz of Rush Springs, Benjamin McCarley and best friend Rhonda Dodson of Medicine Park, Jedediah McCarley of Rush Springs, and Joshua McCarley and wife Amanda of Rush Springs, daughter, Lisa Mobley and husband Greg, 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Roy Reed and wife Kathleen, and Richard Reed and wife Chloe of Tulsa, sister, Peggy Stecco and husband Johnny of Lawton, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 daughters, Stacy Reed and Tracy Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Carol's grandsons.
