Obituary

Marlow: Caroline Whisler, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 80.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Glory Bound Church, with Pastor Terra Sisco and Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Caroline was born Friday, September 1, 1939 in Marlow, to Marvin Parker and Irene Mae (Stark) McCauley. She lived in Marlow most of her life and had graduated from Marlow High School. Caroline enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino as well as playing games on her phone. She liked reading all kinds of books and napping. Caroline enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her flowers outside. She loved watching birds but especially loved playing with her great-grandchildren. Caroline was an amazing caregiver for many people. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Marlow.

Survivors include, 2 sons, Gregory Lee Sanders and wife Julie of Marlow, James Edward Sanders of Marlow, second mom to John Long and Stephanie Jervis, 10 grandchildren, Falecia Sanders, Amanda Sanders, Shelby Sanders, Parker Sanders, M'Kenzie Cummings, Kelly Sanders, Courtney Long, Owen Long, Tyler Jervis, Jacob Jervis, 4 great-grandchildren, William Balthrop, Wyatt Balthrop, Courtney Balthrop, and Kaleb Cummings. She is also survived by 3 brothers, Earl McCauley and wife Bonnie of Marlow, Gene McCauley of Duncan, Roy McCauley of Marlow, 3 sisters, Lou Ann Stiles and husband Renick of Olympia, WA, Hazel Eisenlohr and husband Ike of Marlow, Joy Woods and husband David of Marlow, a sister-in-law, Pat McCauley of Marlow, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Caroline was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Joe Sanders, grandson, Eddie Sanders, her parents, 2 brothers, Buck McCauley, William Richard McCauley, 3 sisters, Judy Sue Mayes, Patricia Kay Long, Wanda Marie McCauley, a niece, Kimberly Michelle Pillow, and 2 nephews, Ronnie Eisenlohr, Wayne McCauley.

Pallbearers will be: nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Davis and Jim Davis.

Memorable Contributions can be made to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Caroline's honor.

Sorry to read about the passing of Caroline. She was one of my friends in high school and may have told the story about us being dressed to a tee (hats, white gloves and all) for a fancy tea and I unfortunately parked by a mud puddle which she stepped into when she got out of the car. Thankfully I think it was after the tea and not before. She was a sweet person and I'm sure will be missed by all who knew her. Wanona
