Obituary for Cheryl McGuire

Rush Springs: Cheryl McGuire, 58, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Edmond.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial is under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Cheryl was born Saturday, January 6, 1962 in Midwest City, to Maurice Dewayne and Bonnie Jean (Blue-Eyes) Gibson. After graduating from Midwest City High School, Cheryl moved to the Rush Springs area and found her calling, working with the elderly, and becoming a CMA, and worked at several of the assisted living centers and nursing homes in the area until her passing. She was a member of the Choctaw Tribe and she enjoyed listening to music, fishing, camping, her favorite time of the year was Halloween, she loved doing her kids hair, and she especially enjoyed loving on her grandkids, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include, daughter, Melissa Gibson and William Hodge, son, Sterling Mcguire of Comanche, 2 granddaughters, Morgan Gibson and Melanie Kohler, great-grandson, Ryder Kohler, brother, Steve Gibson and wife Jodi of Fort Worth, TX, and sister, Elizabeth Gibson of Rush Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dennis Gibson, and a nephew, Casey Gibson, and great-grandbaby, Gibson.
