Obituary for Debra Sue Hobbs

Rush Springs: Debra Sue Hobbs, 66, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, with Kevin Wordan officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs,on Monday, December 26, 4:00-8:30 PM.

Debra was born Sunday, July 22, 1956 in Marlow, to Merle and Nora (Davis) McCarty. She lived in the Grady and Stephens County area all of her life and spent her time being a homemaker. She married her best friend and soul mate, Curtis Hobbs, on September 8, 1976 in Rush Springs. Debra and Curtis celebrated more than 43 years of marriage together until he preceded her in death in January 2020. She was a member of the Riding Club, and sold AVON and Tupperware. Debra enjoyed riding around the local lakes and feeding the deer. She loved her family most and she enjoyed spending time with them. Debra will be dearly missed.

Survivors include 2 sons Michael Hobbs and wife June of Rush Springs, and Roy Hobbs of Duncan, 3 daughters, Amanda Hobbs of Duncan, Brandy Teague and husband Gary of Bridgecreek, and Cassie Rumley and husband Shane of Duncan, 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Cody, Bailey, Summer, Austin, and Daniel, great-granddaughter, Bryanna Whan, sister, Janet Jones of Rush Springs,

In addition to her loving husband, Debra was preceded in death by her parents.



Pallbearers will be: Gary Jones JR, Gary Jones III, Shane Rumley, Cody Hobbs, Travis Stewart, and Nathan Hobbs.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Austin Chatterton and Gary Teague
