Obituary for Donna Faye Blades

Rush Springs: Donna Faye Blades, 71, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, Sunday, September 11, 2022 in Rush Springs.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Rosewood Inn. Cremation and all arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Donna was born Wednesday, July 11, 1951 in Marlow to Donald Alton and Naomi Fay (Forbes) Pendley. She was a graduate of Rush Springs High School. Donna had lived in Stephens and Grady counties all of her life. She worked for more than 20 years for Halliburton as a Secretary. Donna married the love of her life, Charles "Mike" Blades, April 26, 1968 in Lawton. She and Mike celebrated just a day over 53 years of marriage when he preceded her in death April 27, 2021. Donna loved her dogs, enjoyed arts and crafts, sewing, and making quilts. Donna loved her family more than words could ever express, especially her grandkids. She never missed an opportunity to spend any time with them. Donna will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include 2 sons, Phillip Blades of Rush Springs, and Todd Blades and wife Jennifer of Duncan; grandchildren, Anthony Blades, Christopher Blades, Cameron Blades, Montana Barrett, Bayler Speer, and Brylon Speer; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Sherry Riddles and husband Larry of Rush Springs; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Donna was preceded in death by her parents,granddaughter, Brooklyn Grace Blades, and brother, Joe Donald Pendley.
