Obituary for Donna Kay Davis (Thompson)

Rush Springs: Donna Kay Davis, 53, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Duncan, OK.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, with Jean Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 5:00-8:30 PM.

Donna was born Thursday, June 19, 1969 in Oklahoma City to Doyle Thompson and Wanda Sue (Kennedy) Thompson. Donna lived around the Stephens and Grady County areas her whole life, and she graduated from Marlow High School. She married her soul mate, William Davis, on February 7, 1988 in Wichita Falls, TX. In 1995 they moved to Cox City where they settled down and raised their family. They were married for 30 years before he preceded her in death. Donna was a caretaker at heart. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at Lindsey Manor, and when she wasn't working, she loved taking care of her children and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, sewing, and playing computer games in her free time.

Survivors include her son, William Davis; two daughters, Megan Gibson and husband, Jordan, of Lufkin, TX, and Miranda Davis of the home; one granddaughter, Artemis Gibson; six brothers, Gary Hulsey of Texas, Doyle Thompson and wife, Lisa, of New Jersey, Donald Thompson of Florida, Lonnis Sewell of West Virginia, Carl Thompson of Norman, OK, and Dustin Thompson of Midwest City, OK; five sisters, Jeannie Spence of Wilson, OK, Kelly Love of Norman, OK, Brenda Canada of North Carolina, Tammy Becktol of El Reno, OK, and Redonna Hulsey of Midwest City, OK; stepmother, Patricia Thompson of Ennis, OK; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Joseph Davis.

Pallbearers will be: Dusty Thompson, William Spence, Tiffany Craft, Caleb Becktol, Norman Spence, and Charlie Davis.

Honorary Pallbearer will be William Cody Davis.
