Obituary for Donna Kaye O'Neal

Marlow: Donna Kaye O'Neal, 77, passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 in Marlow.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Rev. Kevin Alaniz officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 3, 2022, 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM, and Tuesday, January 4, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM

Donna was born Saturday, January 8, 1944 in Marlow, to Dan and Jimmie (Newman) Files. She was a 1962 graduate of Marlow High School and attended Vonn Business College. Donna was born and raised in Marlow. She married her husband, Vernon O'Neal, in Clovis, NM on January 16, 1965. Vernon and Donna owned and operated the family business, O’Neal’s Foreign Car Service, in Duncan for over 40 years. Donna and Vernon celebrated more than 56 wonderful years of marriage together. She was a very strong willed woman who carried no scars on her tongue. She enjoyed ringing her bell and telling people what to do and how to do it, and was known for keeping her kids in line. Donna also enjoyed painting in her free time. She always loved taking care of her grandkids and attending all of their sporting events. Donna's absence will be felt deeply and she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband, Vernon, of the home, 2 sons, David O'Neal and wife Lynn, and Mark O'Neal and wife Angie, both of Marlow, 3 daughters, Darla Brown and husband Nuell of Marlow, Sharla Watkins and husband Joe of Houston, TX, and Julie Whaley and husband Ronnie of Marlow, 11 grandchildren, Derek Brown, Garrett Brown, Dillon Watkins, Jake O'Neal, Taylor Watkins, Megan Newman, Gage O'Neal, Dayton O'Neal, Olivia Whaley, Dakotah Whaley, and Chance O'Neal, 5 great-grandchildren, Max Brown, Sage Brown, Cannon Brown, Baker Brown, and Branson Newman. Other survivors include nieces, Ann and Gary Vining, Suzette Hargett, Sherri Page, and Susie Brooks, nephews, Bobby King and Karen, Bruce and Gary Edwards, Tom, Mike, and Steve Parker, and a sister in law, Mary Nell Files.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Bonnie King, Forest Files, Teenie Scott, Sue Whitehead, Maxine Parker, Peggy Edwards, and Patsy Nell Files.


Pallbearers will be: Derek Brown, Garrett Brown, Jake O'Neal, Dayton O'Neal, Gage O'Neal, Chance O'Neal, and Dillon Watkins.
