Obituary for Donnie Lynn Funk

Rush Springs: Donnie Lynn Funk, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 56.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 15, 2019, at the Southern Baptist Church- Rush Springs, with Rev. Paul Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Donnie was born Sunday, October 7, 1962 in Kingwood West, VA, to Harry and Jean (Weyrick) Funk. He lived in the Rush Springs area all of his life and graduated with the Class of 1980 from Rush Springs High School. Donnie married his loving wife, Cynthia Turner on April 10, 2015 in Rush Springs. They were married for 3 short but wonderful years before his passing. Donnie was an avid outdoorsman that enjoyed going camping, fishing, and deer hunting. He was a farmer that enjoyed driving his tractor. Donnie was a family man that enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his family. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.

Survivors include, his wife, Cindy Funk of the home, 2 sons, Michael Funk and wife Jessica of Marlow, Jaxon Black of Rush Springs, 2 daughters, Amber Raney and husband Raymond of Daisey, Shelby Britton and husband Nick of Rush Springs, 13 grandchildren, Madison, Whyatt, Preston, Peyton, Aiden, Korbyn, Alexis, Christian, Emily, Johnathon, Colton, Hayden, and Brynlee. He is also survived by a 3 sisters, Becky Childress and husband Doug of Rush Springs, Jennie Woods and husband James of Broken Bow, Jennifer Collier and husband Keith of Rush Springs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of good friends.

Donnie was preceded in death by a son, Rusty Allen Funk, and his grandparents.




Pallbearers will be: Raymond Raney, Nick Britton, Keith Collier, James Butler, Cody Charleson, and Darrin Horton.
