Obituary for Doris Sue Reed
Duncan: Doris Sue Reed, 61, passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 in Perry.
Cremation will take place at the family's request. The family will have a memorial service at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church, with Rev. Lynn Parkhurst officiating. Cremation and arrangements have been entrusted in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Doris was born Sunday, July 19, 1959 in Stillwater, to J.D. Nichols and Sandra Nichols. She was a graduate of Stillwater High School. Doris met Raymond Reed Jr. and they married in 1985, in Stillwater, and celebrated 27 years of marriage. Doris was a homemaker and enjoyed every minute of it. She loved drinking her soda, watching western movies on the TV, and making the most out of life. Doris especially loved spending time with her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include, 3 sons: Mikel Reed of Duncan, David Reed and wife Diana of Duncan, and Chad Reed and wife Yovonne of San Antonio, TX, 10 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren: Noah Ritter, Ali Faye Ritter, and Aiden Michael Ritter, brother, Roy Nichols of Stillwater, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lanyette Reed, father, J.D. Nichols, mother, Sandra (Wise) Nichols, and great-grandson, Kevin Allen Reed.
Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM.
