Obituary for Doris Ann Taylor

Longtime Stephens County resident Doris Ann Taylor, 82, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Lawton.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Marlow Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Doris was born Monday, January 17, 1938 in Marion, VA, to Buford and Virginia (Perry) Woolwine. Doris married Bobby Taylor in Wapanucka, on January 2, 1956. They celebrated 41 years of marriage until he preceded her in death in 1997. Doris lived in the Stephens County area most of her life, and worked as Assistant Manager of Sears for over 20 years before retiring. She was a member of the Red Hat Club and Jaycee Jane's. Doris' hobbies were ceramics, painting, gardening, making dolls, and dancing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include, son, Michael and wife Sherri Taylor of Charlotte, NC, daughter, Sharon Andrews of Marlow, 2 sisters, Betty Dearen of Duncan and Peggy Ainsworth of Oakgrove, LA, 5 grandchildren: Brian, Clint, Andrew, Rachel, and Alex, 6 great-grandchildren: Liam, Lucy, Natalie, Nathan, Miles, and Holland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Gary Taylor, and 2 sisters, Gladys White and Oleta Stephenson.
