Obituary for Earl Lynn Richardson

Marlow: Earl Lynn Richardson passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at his home in Marlow. He was 59.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb funeral home in Marlow, OK. Cremation and all arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Service of Marlow.

Lynn was born Thursday, September 28, 1961 in Duncan to Theo T. and Juanita (Prater) Richardson. Lynn had lived in the Stephens County area his whole life. He graduated with the Marlow High School class of 1979 and went on to study nursing home administration at OU. On July 24, 1986, Lynn married Rita Zimmerman, in Witchita Falls, TX, and they shared 34 years together before his passing. Lynn was a very caring person who dedicated his life to helping improve the lives of others. In order to do this, he made his life's work helping others in social services and as an activities director for over 30 years. Lynn was a man of many talents. He was an ordained minister who performed several weddings and funerals, a fantastic artist, and even a gardener; he liked to do arts and crafts and loved to work in his yard and flower garden. He was also a faithful member of the Stephens United Methodist Church in Duncan.

Survivors include his wife of the home, daughter, Jessica Lee and husband Brandon of Duncan, sister, C.J. Shelton and husband Jerry of Duncan, a brother, Chuck Richardson and Darrell of Dallas, TX, father and mother-in-law, Phil and Ilene Zimmerman of Duncan, sister-in-law, Lori Shults of Duncan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Cowboy Richardson, and sister, Neta Wilson.
