Obituary for Elmer Edward Pendley

Marlow: Elmer Edward Pendley, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 in Marlow, at the age of 88.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at the Glory Bound Church, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Elmer was born Sunday, May 15, 1932 in Raymondville, TX, to Aut and Rosa (Dowdy) Pendley. He had lived in the Marlow area since 1959 and had previously lived in Anadarko. Elmer married the love of his life, Margie Eslinger in Anson, Texas on July 27, 1950; they were married for 70 wonderful years before his passing. He thought his wife Margie hung the moon. Elmer loved to watch his great grandchildren play football, basketball, baseball, and softball, Pops was their biggest fan. He loved to bird hunt in his younger days. Spending time with his family and showing them love was his priority. They were all his FAVORITE! Elmer was a member of the Glory Bound Church in Marlow.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Pendley of the home, a daughter, Denice Ann Pendley of Hastings, a granddaughter, Renee Meshell & husband Pat of Marlow, a great-grandson, Beau Meshell, a great-granddaughter, Mia Meshell, 2 brothers, Sharlin Pendley and wife Janice of Cyril, Lonnie Pendley and wife Barbara of Shawnee, a sister, Rosetta Lawson of Cyril, and a daughter-in-law, Barbara Pendley of Gettysburg, PA.

Elmer was preceded in death by father, Aut Pendley, mother, Rosa (Dowdy) Pendley, son, Blaine Edward Pendley, brother, Gene Pendley.

Pallbearers will be: Beau Meshell, Mia Meshell, Pat Meshell, Mike Eslinger, Norman Condit, and Dane Pendley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Ron Newby and Bruce Nite.
