Obituary for Fern Louise Neal (Martin)
Marlow: Fern Louise Neal, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 in Marlow, at the age of 92.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 12, 2020, at the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. Brian Holland officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Fern was born Friday, May 11, 1928 in Buffalo, OK, to Russell and Ocie (Luck) Martin. She had lived in various different areas of Oklahoma during her husband's Ministry throughout her years before settling in Marlow for the last 20 years. Fern married the love of her life, James Calvin Neal, Jr. on September 13, 1944 in Beaver; they were married for 75 wonderful years before James's passing on February 5, 2020. Fern enjoyed reading, gardening, and canning. She was an amazing cook that enjoyed blessing others with her cooking. Fern loved spending time with her family and loved her dogs Sugar and Princess.
Survivors include, 2 sons, James Calvin Neal, III and wife Kathy, of Lexington, Larry Russell Neal and wife Brenda of Ninnekah, a daughter, Anna Russell of Marlow, 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 brothers, Dewayne Martin of KS, Bobby Martin of KS, Lloyd Martin of KS, 2 sisters, Josie of UT, Carol of KS, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her husband, Fern was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wayne, 3 sisters, Sarah, Maxine, Opal, 2 great-grandsons, Tyler Ford, Tyler Neal, a son-in-law, Frank Russell.
