Obituary for Frances Ruth Fullerton

Marlow: Frances Ruth Fullerton, 82, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022 in Duncan, OK.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 3, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. Lynn Parkhurst officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation for Frances will be at the funeral home on Thursday, 5:00 - 8:30 PM, Friday, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, Saturday, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, Sunday, 1:00 - 8:30 PM, and Monday, 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM.

Frances was born Wednesday, October 4, 1939 in Hanna, OK, to Roy Lee and Ruby Lavada (Burgan) McReynolds. She grew up attending Frederick Public Schools. Frances married the love of her life, James "Joe Buck" William Fullerton, May 12, 1956. She and Joe shared more than 57 wonderful years of marriage together until he preceded her in death July 30, 2013. Frances spent her life being a devoted wife, momma, grandma, great-grandma, and great-great grandma. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church. Frances helped out with VBS for many years and also taught Sunday School at Bailey Church, Pentecostal Church of God, and Eastside Baptist Church. She also spent some time being the church secretary. Frances often had a garden and frequently canned and baked. She was an excellent cook. In her earlier years, she always took pride in caring for her yard and the most beautiful flowers. Frances also enjoyed crocheting, especially in the evening hours, and sewing when she had the time, and would make various gifts for family, friends, and even fund raisers. She loved traveling and going for rides all over the United States from Oklahoma, Texas, Iowa, and even Wisconsin. Frances was a member of the 89er Wagon Train and the Territorial Wagon Train for more than 9 years and was adored by all trail riders. She was listed as an honorary member of the Marlow FFA Chapter. Frances was known to be a sweetheart, she was an inspiration to anyone she ever came in contact with, and she was loved by many. Her family was always the most important to her and she loved them more than words could ever say. Her family and friends will cherish her memory forever and she will be deeply missed by all.


Survivors include son, Quinton Fullerton and wife Robbie of Rush Springs; 2 daughters, Sandra Jo Kendall and husband Kerry of Mangum, and Shirley Phillips and husband Sonny of Marlow; 8 grandchildren, Shawnna Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Ashley Phillips, Callista Shrum, Corry Kendall, Ryan Kendall, Aron Kendall, and Rachel Trevino; 20 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny McReynolds and wife Johnel of Wichita Falls, TX; trail riding buddy, Lisa Wright of Lawton; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Frances was preceded in death by her parents, twin daughters, Carla Ann and Darla Sue Fullerton, 3 sisters, Sue Gordley, Dovie Pace, and Loretta Lyons, and brother, Benny McReynolds.


Pallbearers will be: Matthew Phillips, Corry Kendall, Ryan Kendall, Aaron Kendall, Clay Downey, Morgan Downey, Gus Downey, Jayden Phillips, and Justin Franklin.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the 89ers Trail Riding Club.
