Obituary for Franklin Joseph Turner

Marlow: Franklin Joseph Turner, 85, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the Glory Bound Church, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation for Frank will be at the funeral home on Monday, February 13, 8:30 AM-8:30 PM, and Tuesday, February 14, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM.

Frank was born Sunday, November 7, 1937 in Mountain Park, OK, to Amos and Lona (Spencer) Turner. He attended school at Bray while growing up. Frank lived in Bray and Marlow most of his life and he worked as an oilfield pumper until his retirement. He spent time as a proud member of the United States Army serving in the 101st Airborne Division. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting guns. He also enjoyed farming and going to the coffee shop. Frank loved his family and he enjoyed all of the time they spent together. His family and many others will miss him deeply.

Survivors include his son, Terry Turner and wife Jana of Marlow, daughter, Tammy Fennel and husband Bruce of Duncan, 5 grandchildren, Cale Turner, Rylie Turner, Logan Hall, Ryan Hall, and Colten Fennel, 8 great-grandchildren, Mayci, Madelyn, Brock, Daylee, Brylee, Bryor, Corbyn, and Jacobi, 2 brothers, Ronnie Turner and wife Anita of Marlow and Jeff Turner of Bray, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Cecil Turner, Donnie Turner, and Hershel Turner, and 3 sisters, Ruby Grey, Norma Jean Slay, Earlene Turner.


Pallbearers will be Frank's grandsons and Mike and Bill Turner.
