Obituary for Gale Dee McAdoo

Rush Springs: Gale Dee McAdoo, 82, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021 in Chickasha.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00, Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at the Rush Springs Church of Christ, with Lee Parrish officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Gale was born Saturday, March 25, 1939 in Rush Springs, to Archie Dee and Mona (Hayes) McAdoo. He was a 1957 graduate of Rush Springs High School, and also proudly served in the National Guard. Gale had lived in Branson, MO for 15 years, and he managed the Grand Palace Theater, but had lived in Rush Springs most of his life. He ran the Peanut Elevator in Rush Springs for over 30 years. Gale married Lawanna Jean Reed on June 7, 1959 in Marlow, and they celebrated 33 years of marriage before she preceded him in death in July 1992. On April 30, 1993, he married Patsy Sue Woods in Marlow, and they were married for 27 years until his passing. Gale loved his work, listening to music, and visiting with people. He also enjoyed woodworking, mowing his lawn, and doing various chores on his tractor. Most importantly, Gale loved his family and loved spending time with them.

Survivors include his wife of the home, 4 sons, Gary Dale McAdoo and wife JoAnn of Crowley, TX, Terry Don McAdoo and wife Nancy of Sandy, UT, Ronnie Wayne Scott of Marlow, and Charles William Scott and wife Gayla of Stratford, daughter, Sheri Sue Scott of Marlow, 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, sister, June McKay of Rush Springs, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Hunter McAdoo, 2 brothers, Morris McAdoo and Kenneth McAdoo, brother in law, Morris McKay, and sister in law, Nell McAdoo.
