Obituary for Gavyn Lee Sweat
Rush Springs: Gavyn Lee Sweat, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 in Rush Springs, at the age of 8.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Victory Fellowship, with Josh Abbott officiating. Burial will follow in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.
Gavyn was born Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Duncan, to Cody and Kelli (Willis) Sweat. He was a 2nd grader at Rush Springs Public Schools where he like to participate in Lil' Skins basketball and baseball. Gavyn loved to paint and run. He liked to ride his scooter and work out on the front porch in his "work out" clothes. Gavyn enjoyed playing with his brothers and sister. He was a member of the Victory Fellowship Church where he was active.
Survivors include his parents, Cody and Kelli Sweat of the home, 3 brothers, Ricky Adamson, Caiden Sweat, Jeremy Tobias (J.T.) Sweat, a sister, Hayzel Sweat, grandparents, Richard and Donna Stewart of Marlow, grandparents, Woodrow and Telisa Sweat, grandfather, David Willis of Ruston, LA, great-grandparents, Donnie and Maria Owens, great-grandparents, Don and Glenda Chism, great-grandmother, Nina Fullerton, and great-grandparents, Don and Louise Newton. He was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as a host of friends.
Gavyn was preceded in death by uncle, Jeremy Wayne Sweat, great-grandfather, Charlie Fullerton, grandmother, Cindy Willis, great-grandparents, Bob and Edith Cash, great-grandfather, Bob Sweat, and great-grandmother, Hayzel Stewart.
Pallbearers will be: Chris Stewart, Marty Bishop, Carl Gaebler, John Williams, Ayden Williams, and Dustin Bratcher.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the First National Bank and Trust -Gavyn Sweat Benefit Fund.
