Obituary for Gleola Thompson (Robertson)

Yukon: Gleola "Glee"Thompson, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 92.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, January 25, 2019, at the Marlow Cemetery, with family officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Glee was born Monday, October 25, 1926 in Marlow, to Henry Earnest and Leta Vay (Scrifres) Robertson. She graduated from Loco High School and attended Wichita Falls Business School. Glee married the love of her life, James D. Thompson in Marlow on July 2, 1946, to this union 2 daughters, Karen and Sue were born. Glee and James were married for 61 wonderful years before his passing in 2008. She had lived in the Stephens county area until moving to the Oklahoma City area where she lived most of her life. Glee was a excellent cook that enjoyed hosting events. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. Glee was a member of the Countyline Republicans and the Eastern Star as well as an active member in the First Baptist Church in Mustang.

Survivors include, 2 daughter, Karen Chapman, Sue Thompson both of Yukon, and a brother, Alvin Oliver of Duncan.

Along with her husband, Glee was preceded in death by her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Baptist Children's Home.
