Obituary for Harvey Lee Boatman

Duncan: Harvey Lee Boatman, 80, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Duncan.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial and all arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 31, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, Thursday, September 1, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM, and Friday, September 2, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
The family will be accepting visitors on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.

Harvey was born Wednesday, February 11, 1942 in Marlow, to Henry and Callie (Sherwood) Boatman. He was a graduate of Marlow High School. Harvey lived most of his life in Stephens County. Harvey owned and operated his own service station, and he also spent time working as a driver and game tech. He married the love of his life, Rita Mayes, on January 29, 1965 in Lawton. Harvey and Rita celebrated more than 45 years together until she preceded him in death on September 3, 2010. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to the casino, and watching old Westerns on the TV. Harvey also enjoyed traveling to California and going on Alaskan Cruises. His family was most important to him and cherished any time spent with them, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. Harvey will be deeply missed by many.

Survivors include his significant other, Mary McComber of Duncan; daughter, Patsy and Tracy Graham of Duncan; grandchildren, Levi Graham, Garrett Graham and Carly Mann, and Misty Graham and Virgil Adamson; great-grandchildren, Madilynn, Charlee, Paislee, Leelynn, Branch, and Raelee; sister, Lorene Roach and numerous nieces and nephews.

Harvey was preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents, son, Harvey Boatman, Jr., and 2 brothers, Melvin "Buck" Boatman and brother, Bill Boatman.


Pallbearers will be: Tracy Graham, Garrett Graham, Lamar Scruggs, Dustin Lorenzen, James Mirike, Levi Graham.
