Obituary for Helen Louise Jorgenson

Yukon: Helen Louise Jorgenson, 84, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020, peacefully at her home in Yukon, surrounded by her family. She was taken by her Lord and Savior to be rejoined with those who went before her.

A graveside service will be held at the Rock Creek Cemetery, Monday, November 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM, with Rev. David Woods officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, Oklahoma.

Helen was born Tuesday, November 26, 1935 in Duncan, OK, to Ernest Clayton and Mary Lee (Barnard) Nunley. As a young child she was raised by her grandparents, Edd and Hannah Nunley. She was a graduate of Central High School. She married Paul Dean Jorgenson on November 21, 1954, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage. They moved from Duncan to Yukon in 1970. Helen was a beloved wife, mother, and granny. She was a life long homemaker that loved taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Helen was known to many as "Too Tall". She enjoyed travel and attending music festivals with Paul. Helen had a love for cooking. No one left Helen's kitchen hungry. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, and collecting ceramic chickens.

Survivors include, husband, Paul Dean Jorgenson of the home, son, Michael Dean Jorgenson of Yukon, daughter, Cindy Buie-Kessinger of Blanchard, daughter, Linda Kay Hollingsworth and husband Tony of Yukon, grandson, Mathew Ryan Buie and wife Shelby of Yukon, granddaughter, Sadie Ann Hollingsworth of Yukon, grandson, Cooper Dean Hollingsworth of Yukon and great grandson Wyatt Austin Childers.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
