Obituary for Illa Faye Stewart

Rush Springs: Illa Faye Stewart, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 in Rush Springs, at the age of 86.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 17, 2019, at the Vimy Ridge Baptist Church, with Rev. David Hale, Rev. Preston Hawkins, and Rev. James McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Family visitation will be Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel.

Illa was born Monday, April 24, 1933 in Ninnekah, to John and Opal Lee (Manor) Trusty. She lived in the Rush Springs area for more than 65 years and graduated from the Cox City school. Illa married the love of her life, Sherman "Bud" Stewart on April 24, 1954 in Cox City. They had been married for 65 wonderful years before her passing. Illa enjoyed quilting and listening to music. She liked to go to auctions and watch sports on TV especially professional wrestling. Illa loved her family dearly and enjoyed taking care of her grandsons. It was always a joy of hers to watch her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their sporting events.

Survivors include, her husband, Sherman "Bud" Stewart of the home, a son, Bobby Stewart and wife Sallie of Rush Springs, a daughter, Carol McClure and husband James of Rush Springs, 4 grandsons, Greg McClure and wife Jennifer of Marlow, Travis Stewart and wife Trisha of Rush Springs, Tim Stewart and wife Stephanie of Marlow, Jason McClure and wife Jessica of El Reno, 9 great-grandsons, Tyler, Brodie, Brandon, Blake, Brad, Trevyn, Jaron, Mason, and Jonas, 3 Great-Granddaughters, Shaddiah, Skyler, and Emalyn. She is also survived by a brother, Troy Trusty of Rush Springs, a sister, Shirley Sweat and husband James of Rush Springs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Illa was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Misty Michelle Stewart, her parents, 3 brothers, Emmitt Trusty, Eugene Trusty, Kenneth Trusty, and her twin sister, Lola Kimbro.

Pallbearers will be: her grandsons and great grandsons.
