Obituary for J D Waller

Marlow: J D Waller, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Lawton, at the age of 80.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at the Sterling Cemetery, with Jeremy Whitt officiating and military honors will be conducted by the Stephens County Honor Guard. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

J D was born Sunday, April 24, 1938 in Poteau, OK, to Daniel and Bertha (Jones) Waller. He lived most of his life in Marlow and previously had lived in Lawton where he attended school. J D married his loving wife, Pat Kern in Cache on May 26, 1973 and they were married for 45 years. J D worked as a transportation inspector for more than 30 years with the Civil Service after serving in the United States Marines Corp. He enjoyed coon hunting as well as planting large gardens that him and his family took care of. J D loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by everyone that he had contact with.

Survivors include, his wife, Pat Waller of the home, a son, Mike Waller and wife Jill of Marlow, a daughter, Julie Holland and husband Jacob of Duncan. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Zachary, Bailey, Jacob, Samuel, James, LeeAnn, and Allie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

J D was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Nathan Waller, Hixley Waller, Louis Waller, and 3 sisters, Inez Gollihare, Letha Fletcher, Shirley Mezio.
