Marlow: Jake Jacob, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 in Marlow, at the age of 72.
Cremation has taken place at the family's request and no services are scheduled at this time. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Jake was born Monday, March 17, 1947 in Saginaw, MI, to Royal and Elenor Jacob. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School and had lived in Saginaw, Michigan until moving to Marlow in 1982. Jake married his loving wife, Vivian Hirata in California on December 13, 1969; they were married for 50 years before his passing. Jake owned and operated Jake's Bait Shop in Marlow for more than 20 years before passing on the family business to his son. He proudly served in the United States Navy. Jake enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include, his wife, Vivian Jacob of the home, a son, Brian Jacob of Marlow, a daughter, Brenda Phillips and husband Doug of MD, 3 granddaughters, Briana Jacob, Ashley Jacob, Naomi Phillips, a great-grandson, Liam Jacob, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Jake was preceded in death by his father, 2 brothers, Barry Jacob, Bill Jacob, and a sister, Barbara Jacques.
