Obituary for Judy Ann Sowder (Ritter)
Marlow: Judy Ann Sowder, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 in Marlow at the age of 64.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the Hope Cemetery, with Rev. David Woods officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Judy was born Wednesday, September 14, 1955 in Marlow, to Billy Dean and Beulah Irene (Nichols) Ritter. She lived most of her life in the Marlow area and had attended school at Gatlin and Bray Schools. Judy married Bruce Sowder in Marietta on September 17, 1990; they were married for 29 years before her passing. Judy loved to watch the birds especially the hummingbirds. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, and swimming when she was younger. Judy loved to read her Bible and was a member of the Glory Bound Church. She loved her chocolate.
Survivors include, her husband, Bruce Sowder of Marlow, 2 sons, Teddy Dean Davis of Lawton, Eric Michael Sowder of Oklahoma City, a daughter, Bridgett Hazen and husband Ricky of Marlow, 3 grandchildren, Kaci, Kala, Kenzi, and a great-granddaughter, Brylie Ranae. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Darlene Langham of Duncan, Betty Barnes and husband Howard of Waurika, a special niece that was more like a daughter, Crissy Farmer, as well as numerous other nieces and nephews, and several aunts and uncles.
Judy was preceded in death by a son, Kenny Don, her parents, and a brother, Billy Ray Ritter.
