Obituary for Katherine Louise Roland
Yukon: Katherine Louise Roland, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in Yukon.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the Marlow Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Katherine was born Wednesday, February 1, 1939 in Marlow, to James Newton and Opal Eve (Maier) Bateman. She was a 1956 graduate of S.E. High School and later went on to earn her Bachelor's degree in teaching from the University of Oklahoma. Katherine married Robert Paul Roland on September 7, 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper and worked for numerous companies such as 1st American Bank, Magic Linen, and Globe life.In high school, Katherine was a member of many clubs and organizations: Latin Club, Pep Club, S.E. Spellers, FVA, Drama Club, the National Honor Society, and was also part of the school newspaper. She was a member of the Mustang Senior Citizens Center and the First Baptist Church of Mustang. Katherine loved taking care of her friends and family. She will be deeply missed by many.
Survivors include son, Steve Roland of Oklahoma City, 2 daughters, Dorothy Jean Cole, and Paula Nanette Buff, 7 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Sue Harris,and Edna Irwin, and uncle, Bill Bateman
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, brother, J.W. Bateman, sister, Ann Landrum, step-sister, Sandra Buckle, and step-brother, Bobby Lee Bateman.
