Obituary for Kathryn Ruth Pickard

Kansas City: Kathryn Ruth Pickard, 82, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2021 in Marlow.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow. Cremation and all arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Kathryn was born Monday, January 23, 1939 in Lancaster, CA., to Toy and Ruby (Tugman) Stewart. She had lived in Duncan prior to living in Kansas City, which is where she had resided for the last 5 years. Kathryn worked as a floral designer and antique collector. She married Herbert Wayne Lowry in September 1955, in Bailey, OK., and they celebrated 53 years of marriage before he preceded her in death November 3, 2008. Kathryn later married Kenneth Pickard in 2010, in Duncan. They celebrated 4 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2014. Kathryn enjoyed reading, especially mystery and romance novels. She also enjoyed drawing, painting, working in her flower garden, planting trees, and sewing. Kathryn loved her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids.

Survivors include, daughter, Sherrisa Mashaney and husband Derrick of Kansas City, MO., 3 sons, David Lowry of Marlow, Jack Lowry and wife JoAnn of Edmond, and Sam Lowry and wife Terri of Porter, TX., 9 grandchildren: Brandi, Dave, Nicah, Amber, Logan, Kalie, Austin, Kade, and Karly, 4 great-grandchildren: Locke, Edie-Kate, Frannie Jane, and Calvin,, 4 brothers, Kenneth Stewart of Rush Springs, K.J. Stewart and wife Vicki of Arnette, Coy Stewart and wife Lynda of Duncan, and Keith Stewart and wife Lisa of Vici, and numerous nieces and nephews, who all felt like she was another mom.
