Obituary

Marlow: Kaye Frances Martin, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 70.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Kaye was born Tuesday, December 14, 1948 in Oklahoma City, to Chuck and Hazel (Norris) Moody. She had lived in the Stephens County area most of her life and graduated from Duncan High School. Kaye married the love of her life, Larry Martin in Duncan on September 23, 1971. They were married for 48 wonderful years before her passing. Kaye worked at Halliburton, Logue Real Estate and Martin's Grocery Store as a bookkeeper for more than 25 years. She enjoyed going to the University of Oklahoma football games. BOOMER SOONER! Kaye loved to dance and travel. She enjoyed shopping and was always looking for the perfect gift to give to her loved ones. Kaye was an amazing friend to so many and enjoyed spending time with all of her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Sigma Nu, 2 Lady Clubs, and the First Baptist Church. Kaye had a heart of gold and a smile that would always light up the room; she will be missed dearly.

Survivors include, her husband, Larry Martin of the home, 2 daughters, Angela Watkins and husband Chuck of Marlow, Gina Postier and husband Justin of Tulsa, 6 grandchildren, Madison, Marlow, Kennedy, Harper, Carson, Cooper. She was also survived by 2 brothers, Joe Moody of Duncan, John Moody of Denver, as well as two nephews.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be: D.B. Green, Terry Brown, Justin Postier, Chuck Watkins, Lynn Gordon, and Jose Garcia.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jim Logue and Lloyd Bush.

Dear Larry,
I was so shocked and saddened to read about Kaye’s passing...
I ran into her a few weeks ago, enjoyed hearing about the grandchildren visiting and how much they had all grown...you could tell that was the highlight of her summer :-))

Kaye and I have been close friends since seventh grade. We had so much fun together when we were young and older. We have stayed in touch all these years took trips together. Kaye was always smiling and kind, I will miss her forever.. love you Kaye.
