Marlow: Kenneth Ray Belden, 72, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Duncan.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 14, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow with Corky Grigsby officiating. Burial will be in the Ft. Sill National Cemetery at a later date, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation for Kenny will be on Wednesday, January 12, 10:00 AM - 8:30 PM, and Thursday, January 13, 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM.
Kenny's family will be accepting visitors on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 at the funeral home.
Kenny was born Sunday, November 6, 1949 in Alameda, CA, to Ray M. and Ella Marie (Sandborn) Belden. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a Postmaster for 26 years. Kenny proudly served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973, and he served 3 years and 11 months of that in Vietnam. He was an active member of many groups and organizations: Boy Scouts of America (50 years), Marlow Masonic Lodge 103 (20 years, former Master and Secretary), Scottish Rite, York Rite, Lion's Club (Lindsay and Delphos, KS), NRA, and Harley Davidson Owners Group. Kenny was also an Eagle Scout and a reserve officer for the Grady County Sheriff's Department. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, serving his community, playing with his beloved dog, and spending time with his family and friends. Kenny's absence will be deeply felt and he will be missed dearly by many.
Survivors include, son, Dustin Jay Belden and wife Christina of Chickasha, daughter, Dawn Marie Howard and husband Orval Jr. of Marlow, 6 grandchildren, Nicole Pitzer, Orval D. Howard, III, J.D. Howard, Owen Howard, Brayden Belden, and Kobe Belden, 2 great-granddaughters, Ella Marie and Renley Nicole, brother, Richard Eugene Belden and wife Barbara of Bennington, KS, and 3 sisters, Patricia Gale Sprout of Minneapolis, MN, Sandra Kay Dresser of Hope, KS, and Connie Marie Brown and husband Rob of Marlow
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Peggy Colene Carson.
