Obituary for Lena Faye Dial

Duncan: Lena Faye Dial, 90, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 in Duncan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Immanuel Baptist Church, with Rev. Gene Ray Ward and Rev. Todd Davison officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. The family will be receiving visitors Wednesday, April 14, 2021, from 6-8PM at Callaway-Smith Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Lena was born Thursday, January 29, 1931 in Bray, to Alver Herbert and Thelma Aften (Goree) Ward. She was a graduate of Marlow High School. Lena lived in Stephens County for most of her life and was a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She married the love of her life, Earl Dean Dial, on January 14, 1950, in Rush Springs, and they celebrated 56 wonderful years of marriage until he preceded her in death on March 16, 2006. Lena enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, and traveling. Most importantly, she loved her family and spending time with them, and she will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include, 3 sons, Rex Dial and wife Peggy of Aurora, MO, James Dial and wife Nona of Marlow, and Joe Dial and wife Shawna of Tulsa, daughter, Sue Gates and husband Freddie of Duncan, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, brother, Gene Ray Ward and wife Barbara of Costa Rica, sister, Myra Loraine Johnson of FL., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 3 brothers, Clyde Lloyd Ward, James Clark Ward, Clifford "Tip" Wayne Ward, grandchild, Nikki Cain, and great-grandchild, Jaden Dial.


Pallbearers will be: Timmy Dial, Tommy Dial, Tyler Dial, Gary Gates, Karry Phillips, and Caleb Malone.
Honorary Bearers will be: Jay Dial, Joshua Dial, Matthew Malone, and Bruce Dial.
