Lendol Ray Wortham, 77, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 in Duncan,
OK. Lendol was born Friday, October 29, 1943 in Duncan to Ray Dyle and Bonnie
Sultana (Cole) Wortham. Lendol grew up and attended school in Marlow, OK. He
graduated in 1961 from Marlow High School.
Lendol worked for Homeland for 37 years as a meat cutter and meat market
manager in Duncan, Chickasha and Clinton, OK. He retired while working at the
Clinton location; later he re-located to Duncan, OK.
In his youth, Lendol spent much of his time riding motorcycles with family and
friends. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman, spending much of that time with
his brother Keith, his cousins and friends. Over the course of his life his hobbies
included raising homing pigeons, and more recently had a passion for oil lamps and
restoring old clocks.
Survivors include his daughter Aimee Wortham of Duncan, OK and her two
children, Benjamin and Annalese; son Garey Wortham of Oklahoma City, OK; son
Jason Wortham of Medicine Park, OK; and brother Keith Wortham of Marlow, OK.
Lendol was preceded in death by his father Ray D. Wortham, mother Bonnie S.
(Cole) Wortham and step-mother, Ordie (York) Wortham.
There will be no services at this time. At a later date, Callaway-Smith-Cobb
Funeral Home of Marlow, OK will conduct a gravesite memorial service. At that time,
his ashes will be interred next to his mother, Bonnie.
