Obituary for Linda Sue Davis (Stringfellow)

Marlow: Linda Sue Davis, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Duncan, at the age of 74.

Memorial Services with burial of cremated remains will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2019, at the Marlow Cemetery, with Rev. Glenn Fowler officiating. Cremation and all arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Linda was born Saturday, June 30, 1945 in Marlow, to Ervin H. and Letha Merle (Penrod) Stringfellow. She attended school in Rush Springs and had lived in the Bray area most of her life. Linda married Mirle Davis on October 2, 1964 in Duncan; they were married for 23 years before his passing on May 29, 1988. Linda had worked with her family at her sister's restaurant- Sharon's Diner for many years as a cook. She loved to be outdoors and to take care of her land especially being on the tractor. Linda enjoyed trading things with her brothers and sisters. She liked helping family with different projects and playing games with them. Linda loved flowers and house plants but she especially liked keeping her home and yard looking good. She enjoyed working around the shop and spending time with her grandchildren. Linda loved drinking coffee and visiting with her family.

Survivors include, 3 daughters, Tammy Balthrop and husband KP of Marlow, Cheryl Kovar and husband Glenn of Marlow, Shavonna Fowler of Marlow, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Jack Stringfellow and wife Betty of Rush Springs, Cecil Stringfellow and wife Linda of Marlow, 3 sisters, Louise Newton and husband Don of Texoma, Wanda Webb and husband Mike of Nashville, TN, Sharon Fleener of Rush Springs, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, George Todd Stringfellow, Oran Ray Stringfellow, J.R. Stringfellow, Mack L. Stringfellow, and 2 sisters, Shavonna VanDeMark, Shelley May Gifford.
