Obituary for Linda Kay Patterson
Marlow: Linda Kay Patterson, 82, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022 in Marlow.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, October 17, 2022, at Eternal Life Church, with Pastor Dan Anderson and Pastor David Woods officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, October 15, 5:00-8:30 PM, Saturday, 8:30 AM-8:30 PM, and Sunday, 1:00-8:30 PM.
The family will accept visitors at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6-8PM.
Linda was born Tuesday, July 16, 1940 in Duncan, to Marcus and Juhree (Smiddy) Dunlap. She lived in Marlow most of her life. Linda spent her life being a devoted wife and a loving mother to her 3 children. She married the love of her life, Rodger "Coy" Patterson, April 13, 1956 in Duncan. Linda and Coy celebrated more than 44 wonderful years together until he preceded her in death in 2001. Linda was a long time member of Eternal Life Church, where she helped with the youth group and was part of the OASIS group. She was a woman of strong faith. Mom's last words were "God sure has been good to me". She enjoyed visiting people, playing bingo, and going to the casino. Linda was a kind and loving human being and most people knew her as Maw. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family more than words could ever express and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. Linda will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
Survivors include her son, Rodger Patterson and wife Stephanie of Ames; 2 daughters, Lisa Davis and husband Pat, and Lynne Ramsey and husband Jeremy, both of Marlow; grandsons, Dayne Davis, Mathew Davis, Luke Davis and wife Maranda, Macoy Ramsey, Braxton Ramsey, Caleb Patterson, Kyler Patterson and wife Michaela, Camden Patterson and wife Megan, and granddaughter, Skylar Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Daltin Davis, Kently Davis, Dason Davis, Daylan Davis of Marlow, Swade Davis, Jadin Davis, Cadence Patterson, Coralai Patterson, Journee Patterson, and Relyk Patterson; sister-in-law, Margaret Elam; brothers-in-law, Roy Patterson, JR Patterson and wife Bobbie, and cousins, Judy Scifres and Connie Lee Coley.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Larry Dunlap and Charles Smiddy.
Pallbearers will be: Macoy Ramsey, Braxton Ramsey, Dason Davis, Daltin Davis, Camden Patterson, and Swade Davis.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Caleb Patterson, Kyler Patterson, Dayne Davis, Luke Davis, Mathew Davis, Reese Davis, and Pierce Davis.
