Obituary for Lorne Rollin Johnson
Marlow: Lorne Rollin Johnson, 89, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022 in Marlow.
Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Central High Baptist Church, with Rev. Sam Buzzard officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Lorne was born Wednesday, March 22, 1933 in Marlow, to Jess R. and Emma (Thornton) Johnson. He was a graduate of Central High. He lived in Marlow all of his life and worked for Halliburton as a welder. Lorne married the love of his life and best friend, Ruby Weathers, July 23, 1958, in Wichita Falls, TX. He and Ruby celebrated more than 63 years of marriage at the time of his passing. Lorne enjoyed making quilts, collecting pictures, hunting, fishing, and he loved animals. He loved his family the most and enjoyed spending time with them. Lorne will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife of the home; son, Robert Nese of Cache; grandchildren, Alex Larison and Ashley Fullerton; 2 brothers, Benny Johnson and wife Margret of Central High, and Danny Johnson and wife Pat of Duncan; sister, Dorothy Cunningham of Duncan; sister-in-law, Wilma Duesman of Marlow; son-in-law, Chris Roberts; and a host of family and friends.
Lorne was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Amanda Fullerton, brother, Lawrence, brother, Jerry, and sister, Juanita.
