Marlow: Lynda Sue Sweat, 71, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Marlow.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Friday, March 4, 2022, at Church of Christ in Marlow . All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Lynda was born Friday, April 28, 1950 in Marlow, to Ralph Leo and Mary Charlene (McLearen) Abney. She was a graduate of Marlow High School and lived in the area all of her life. Lynda married the love of her life, Martin Sweat, in Marlow, on June 24, 1967. She and Martin celebrated more than 54 years of marriage at the time of her passing. Lynda enjoyed camping, cooking, and bingo. She loved her family the most, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids, and she cherished any time spent with them.
Survivors include her husband, Martin of the home; 2 daughters, Cristi Steinke and husband Jerry of Haskell, TX and Mechelle McAdams and husband Eldon of Comanche; 6 grandchildren, David Sweat, Clayton Sweat, Austin McBee, Kelly McBee, Jeromy McAdams, and Jonathan McAdams; 4 great-grandchildren, Dayson Sweat, Baylee Sweat, Mezy McBee, and Tayzlee McBee; 2 sisters, Robbie Inda, and Dianna Littrell; brother, Chris Abney; and numerous other family members.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents.
