Duncan: Marie "Mary" Genevieve Newsom, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 in Duncan at the age of 83.
Cremation care has been provided by Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Memorial Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow.
Mary was born Friday, January 1, 1937 in Bailey, to Oscar "Rock" Franklin and Maggie "Mossie" Pearl (Archer) Davis. She lived in the Stephens County area most of her life and had lived in Duncan the last few years. Mary was a homemaker that enjoyed taking care of everyone. She liked to do arts and craft as well as sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Dillingham Meek, 4 sons, Harley "Butch" Garrett of Duncan, Jimmy Garrett and wife Vicki of Duncan, Jeffrey Newsom of Oklahoma City, Michael Garrett of Duncan, a brother, Ronnie Douglas Davis of Ward, AR as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of great friends.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
