Obituary for Martha Alice Davis

Marlow: Martha A. Davis passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 in Duncan. She was 88.

Funeral services for Martha will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Marlow Church of Christ, with Lee Perish officiating. Burial will follow the funeral ceremony at the Marlow Cemetery. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Martha was born Friday, November 4, 1932 in Springtown, TX, to Elbert V. and Hester Dollie (Rhoten) Isbell. She attended Springtown Schools and graduated from Warren, OK High School with the class of 1950. Martha had lived in Marlow since 1969 and on February 17, 1970, she married Kenneth Lester Davis. They shared 25 years together until his passing on March 15, 2005. She worked at various places over the years and spent several years working as a salesperson at Cable Meat Center in Marlow. She loved to read and work in her yard and truly loved taking care of her birds, but the thing that gave Martha the most joy, was being involved in her church. She was a faithful and active member of the Marlow Church of Christ and served Christ and others there for many years.

Survivors include, sons, Raymond B. Collins and wife Lisha of Marlow and Carl W. Davis of Duncan, her daughters, Loetta Arrington of New Braunfels, TX, Phillis Wilson of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Jean Davis of Temple, OK, Anita Holsun of Duncan, Patty Marie Hammond of Duncan, sister, Bethalena Ballard of Lawton, brothers, Chester Isbell and wife Mary Lou of Blair, and Fred Isbell of Phoenix, AZ, 18 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, Sherrill Dennis and Randy Dennis, a daughter, Deborah Wright, a sister, Minnie Waller, 2 brothers, E.V. Isbell and Oscar Isbell, and a grandson, Bryson Dennis
