Obituary for Mary Ann Buckmaster

Duncan: Mary Ann Buckmaster, 86, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022 in Meridian.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 7, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Pastor Erick Nahass officiating. Burial will be in the Duncan Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home, Saturday, March 5, from 8:30 AM-8:30 PM, Sunday, March 6, 1:00 PM-8:30 PM, and Monday, March 7, 8:30 AM-1:00 PM.

Mary was born Sunday, April 7, 1935 in Marlow, to John R.and Effie Jewell (Reaves) Patton. She attended Duncan High School and lived in the Duncan area all of her life. Mary married Billy Howard Wickell in Wichita Falls, Tx. Billy preceded her in death in 1999. She later married Raymond P. Buckmaster, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2013. Mary worked as a checker at different local grocery stores for more than 25 years. She was a people person who enjoyed life. Mary enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and working in her flower beds. She loved her family and enjoyed any time she got to spend with them. Mary will be missed by all.

Survivors include 2 sons, Alan Gunter and wife Elaine of Shawnee, and Duane Wickell of Duncan; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Haley of Duncan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husbands, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Gerald Patton and Harold Patton.
