Marlow: Mary Louise Herndon, 77, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 in Duncan.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow with Rev. Billy Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Visitation will be at the funeral home, Sunday, January 16, from 1:00 PM-8:30 PM, and Monday, January 17, from 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM.
Louise was born Wednesday, December 13, 1944 in Marlow, to Marvin and Mable (Davis) Ritter. She was a 1963 graduate of Marlow High School. Louise lived in the Marlow area most of her life and worked as a letter carrier for the Marlow Post Office. She married her best friend, Frankie G. Herndon, July 17, 1964, at Eastside Baptist Church. Louise and Frankie celebrated more than 57 years of marriage together. She enjoyed gardening and shopping and she loved her cats. Louise also enjoyed wildlife and especially liked feeding the deer. Every Sunday, she enjoyed her time worshiping to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries on her TV. Louise loved her family more than anything and she cherished the time they spent together.
Survivors include her husband of the home, son, Steve Herndon and wife Kenna of Dallas, TX, daughter, Mandy Cunningham of Marlow, 2 grandchildren, Houston Cunningham, and Saffron Herndon, brother, Bud Ritter and wife Sherry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Billy Don Ritter, Max Hogue, Bob Ritter, and Roy Lee Ritter, and sister, Deloris Koenig.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Herndon, Houston Cunningham, Gayle Austin, Brandon Austin, Jim Elkins, and Billy John Koenig.
