Obituary for Michael Keith Elliott

Duncan: Michael Keith Elliott, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 in Duncan, at the age of 47.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Chaplain John Cahill officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow. Family visitation will be Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow.

Michael was born Wednesday, September 15, 1971 in Santa Cruz, CA, to William Joseph Elliott and Syble Mae (Gillis) Elliott. He had lived in the DeQuincy, Louisiana area most of his life and graduated from high school there. Michael married Michelle Denise Laird on February 12, 1991 in Duncan. They were married for 27 years before his passing. He was very proud to be a truck driver and a safety man. He liked to fish, tell stories, and joke with everyone. Michael liked to cook especially Cajun food and he enjoyed boating. He was an uplifting person no matter how he felt and was thought of by family and friends as a modern day superman. Michael loved eating steak medium rare, traveling, his MandM's, and giving everyone nicknames. He was an Elvis fan, and enjoyed watching anything with eagles. Michael was an avid family man that loved his family dearly.

Survivors include, his wife, Michelle Denise Elliott of Duncan, a son, Katlin Blake Elliott of Duncan, a daughter, Ami Marie Elliott-Graham and husband Blake of Marlow, his father, Dennis Williams and wife Pam of Ratliff City, his mother, Syble Mae Gillis of Duncan. He is also survived by a brother, Buddy Williams and wife Kim of Duncan, and numerous other surviving relatives.

Michael was preceded in death by his Nannie and Paw Paw Gillis, a father-in-law, Henry Jean LaCour, and 2 uncles, Marlin Gillis, Mark Gillis.
