Obituary for Nellie Loretta Davis

Marlow: Nellie Loretta Davis, 102, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Marlow.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral And Cremation Service, with officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services.

Visitation for Nellie will be on Monday, April 25, from 3:00 - 8:30 PM.
The family will be accepting visitors at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Nellie was born Tuesday, December 23, 1919 in Fittstown, OK, to William Thomas and Sallie Jane (Pryor) Ready. She was a graduate of McLish High School. Nellie had lived in the Marlow and Rush Springs area for the last 81 years. She married the love of her life, Joe Thomas Davis, August 20, 1941 in Marlow. Nellie and Joe celebrated more than 69 years of marriage together before Joe preceded her in death on March 5, 2011. She enjoyed camping, gardening, cooking, and playing dominoes. One of her favorite things to do was to dance with Pa. Most importantly she loved her family and she cherished any time spent with them. Nellie will be missed by many.

Survivors include 3 sons, Joe Davis and wife Betty of Lena, LA, Jim Davis and wife Janie of Marlow, and Stan Davis of Rush Springs; 9 grandchildren, Peggy Cox, Rhonda Smith, Terri Lowry, Becky Sagebiel, Nikki Brister, Brian Davis, Heather Davis, Heath Davis, and Shane Davis; 15 great-grandchildren, Nicah Branham, Logan Lowry, Cody Smith, Landon Sagebiel, Holden Sagebiel, Honor Sagebiel, Luke Davis, Jo Leigh Davis, Nick Salard, Addyson Fuqua, Erica Foster, Brad Foster, Chad Foster, Kylie Foster, and Riley Davis, Jessica Rose; great-great-grandchildren, Locke Lowry, Greyson Garien and Kimber Richard, Jesse Crase, Emersyn Rose, Tatum Salard, Madilynn Salard; Sister-in-law, Lucille Davis

In addition to her husband, Nellie was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Billie Ready, Carlton Ready, and Bethel Ready, and 2 sisters, Margie Williamson and Josie Taylor.


Pallbearers will be: Brian Davis, Heath Davis, Shane Davis, Arlan Cox, Ralph Smith, Sam Lowry, and Brian Sagebiel.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Logan Lowry, Landon Sagebiel, Holden Sagebiel, Luke Davis, Nick Salard, Brad Foster, Chad Foster, Riley Davis, Locke Lowry, and Greyson Garien.
