Obituary for Nolan Curtis Gifford

Rush Springs: Nolan Curtis Gifford, 80, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 in Rush Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 22, 2021, at Vimy Ridge Church, with Rev. David Hale officiating. Burial will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Nolan was born Friday, March 8, 1940 in Cooper, TX, to Nolan and Opal (McNutt) Gifford. He met the love of his life, Mary Arneta Stewart, and they married on August 23, 1963 in Rush Springs, and were married for 55 years until Mary's passing. Nolan was a proud member of the United States Navy, retiring in 1979. He lived in the Grady County area most of his life, and enjoyed fishing, going to car shows, working on his cars and yard, he received an award for Best Kept Lawn. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include, 2 sons, Michael D Gifford of TX, and Robert Gifford and wife Tabitha of Alex, 2 daughters, Latece Jordan and husband Jerry of Rush Springs, and Mickeal King of Rush Springs, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nolan was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.


Pallbearers will be: Andy Gifford, Ross Mogg, Aron Thornton, Eli Toronton, Andy Thornton, and Casey McConnell.
