Obituary for Patricia Ann "Pat" Bloomer

Marlow: Patricia "Pat" Ann (Miller) Bloomer, 79, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in Marlow.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the First Baptist Church in Marlow, with Rev. Ron Maxfield officiating. Burial will be in the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 12, 5:00-8:30 PM, and Thursday, October 13, 8:30 AM-11:00 AM.

Patricia was born Sunday, April 25, 1943 to E.M. "Mance" and Anna Bell (Seawright) Miller in Marlow, OK. She attended school at Bray and graduated from Oklahoma College for Women in 1965. She married Nolan "Joe" Bloomer on April 22, 1966 in Canton, OK. Pat taught school in Canton, OK, Sterling, OK, Heidelberg, Germany, and completed her career by returning to Bray High School for 17 years. She also managed a fabric store and worked for PSO as a home economist. She and Joe made the Miller family farm their home after Joe retired from the Army. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Marlow, and the coed 2 of Cornerstone Sunday School Group. She was actively involved in organizing and distribution of the food bank at the Bray Senior Citizens. She also served as the treasurer of the Bray, Bray/Doyle Alumni Association, as well as chairwoman of their scholarship committee. Pat was a member of three bridge groups. While employed by the Bray/Doyle school system she was selected twice as teacher of the year.

Pat is survived by brother-in-law, Jeff Bloomer of Richmond, VA, nieces and nephews, Gina Berger and husband Ross of Ardmore, OK, Sherry Summers of Pauls Valley, OK, Cathy Summers of Midwest City, OK, Kenneth Mance Miller and wife Laurie of Dublin, OH, Cheryl Lassiter of Cherokee, AL, Janine Bloomer of Richmond, VA, Judith Maxwell and husband Stewart of Germany, Ralph Bryant and wife Teresa of Roanoke, Va, Teresa Bucy and husband Bob of Apex, NC, Leigh Belcher, Floyd, Virginia, and Kim Craft and husband George of Winchester, VA, great-nephews and nieces, Jeff Berger and wife Sarah of Stigler, OK, Daniel Berger and wife Ashley of Mustang, OK, Lauren Miller, Nick Miller, of Dublin, OH, Bethany Williams, Cherokee, AL, great-great-nephews and niece, Isaac Berger, Lillian Berger, Morgan Berger, Grayson Berger, Many Cousins, and friends. Other survivors include Brian and Deborah Bearce, Jesse Bearce and wife Lauren, Maverick Bearce, Bailey Sanders and husband Brayden, and Amelia Sanders.



She was preceded in death by husband Joe, parents, sister, Phyllis Summers, brother, Jimmy Don Miller, and sister-in-law, Joan.


Pallbearers will be: Ross Berger, Jeff Berger, Daniel Berger, Ken Miller, Brian Bearce, and Jesse Bearce.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Scott Boland and Braden Sanders.
