Obituary for Patsy Howard
Duncan: Patsy Howard, 81, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 in Duncan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with Rev. JO Howard and Rev. Ronald Howard officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.
Patsy was born Friday, July 21, 1939 in Duncan, to Albert and Clara (Nye) Williams. She grew up attending Marlow Public Schools. Patsy met Gerald Wayne Howard and they married in Wichita Falls, TX on July 24, 1954. Patsy lived in the Stephens county area all of her life and she was a homemaker and a retired teachers aide for Marlow Schools. She enjoyed going to church, singing at the church, shopping, garage sales, making peanut brittle, and she especially loved gardening, and working in the yard, as well as spending time with her family and being a Pastor's wife. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Patsy is survived by son, Donnie Howard and wife Cecile of Ada, 4 daughters: Deborah Davis and husband Don of OKC, Deressa Patterson and husband Eddie of Duncan, Geraldine Lyon and husband David of Marlow, and Dena Bridgman and husband Roger of Marlow, 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. G.W. Howard, her parents, Albert and Clara Williams, 1 son, Jerry Howard, 1 granddaughter, Alisha Scott, 2 grandsons: Cory Patterson, and Dustin Hunt, brother, Marvin Williams, 3 sisters: Maxine Lyon, Margie Ponse-Martinez, and Reba Sosebee,
Pallbearers will be Patsy's grandsons and great-grandsons
There will be a family visitation from 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home.
The family respectfully asks that masks be worn and to social distance when possible.
